Introduction to TeleCIMT
Want to know if you are eligible to participate in a TeleCIMT program?
To join a TeleCIMT program, you will require a minimum amount of movement in your affected arm and hand. To see if you meet this criteria, set yourself up to do this following quick test:
Flannel/Wash Cloth Test
Can you pick up and drop a flannel / washcloth 3 x in 1 minute either standing up or sitting down at a table? Your hand will require some active grasp and release to do this and the washcloth must be fully released onto the table before picking it up again.
Success!
If you are able to do the above, you likely meet the minimum movement criteria and further exploration as to whether you meet other criteria to join a TeleCIMT program can be discussed with your treating therapist.
Findng a Therapist (PT/OT)
If you don’t have a therapist, please go via your country’s usual route to access an OT / Physiotherapist through your public health service, or search for one privately.
